Sharing The Stoke At PSSC Phase 1

The team at the Palm Spring Surf Club have been utilising the Phase 1 SurfPool to full effect, inviting friends and surfing industry to share the stoke with them. Cheyne has been working his wizardry creating and fine-tuning new wave formations and Kalani has been proudly hosting an impressive line-up of athletes and celebrities at the venue. Phase 2 is due to start soon, but it's incredible what they’ve been able to achieve using the structure of a 30 year old wave pool. Just wait until the bespoke pool structure is built and it’s twice the width and three times the length….

Some highlights include taking skim boarding to new places with Blair Conklin to a classic β€œin the barrel - pass the camera shot” from Filipe Toledo, we felt it was high time to collect some of the magic in one place so everyone can share a little of the stoke. To put it mildly Kalani, Cheyne and Jamo are having an absolute blast.

Below is a taste of some of the action:

Things started to heat up with the arrival of Dylan Graves for his β€œWeird Waves” series - no Instagram videos for this one - but the full edit is available here

This barrel and air was artfully performed by Jackson Dorian, the supergrom, under the watchful eye of his self-confessed β€œsoccer dad”, Shane:

This was the time that PSSC created a new sport, combining the unbelievable talent of Blair Conklin with a ridiculously smooth set programmed by the β€œWave Wizard”, Cheyne:

Tina Cohen stopped by to spend some time on the nose of her longboard…

Robbie Crawford is a very talented cinematographer getting a lot of time in the pool, his account is one to follow for some incredible shots of the pool, including this one featuring the Jackson Dorian (again!) - this clip is mind-bending!

He also captured the smoothest β€œin-barrel-camera-hand-off” ever with Filipe Toledo

And not forgetting his masterful filming of the brother / sister duo of Ocean Brown and Sky Brown, a pair of unbelievably talented siblings:

Proving that PSSC is NOT β€œjust” a slab… Did everyone else think that it was going to be another slab?

The team from Snapt4 came and tested the pool to its limits - the full edit is available here

We will keep adding to this article as new clips go live, so check back for more, and we suggest following all the accounts, including @Surfloch_Official, naturally…
